Voices from the Data2Value Executive Dialogue: Klaus Larsen, Deputy CEO, Digital Sundhed Denmark.
For Klaus Larsen, European collaboration in health is not a vision statement. It is an observable fact.
Speaking at the Data2Value Executive Dialogue in Copenhagen, the Deputy CEO of Digital Sundhed Denmark made a case that is easy to overlook in a field often defined by its frustrations: that across Europe, healthcare systems are not just facing the same pressures – they are developing a shared instinct for how to respond to them.
“We face the same challenges, and we have the same view on how to solve some of those challenges.”
That convergence is the foundation of his position -not wishful thinking, but evidence that the conditions for meaningful cross-border progress are already in place.
It is a position that cuts against the narrative of European healthcare as too fragmented to act collectively. Alignment, Larsen suggests, already exists. What remains is the will to build on it.
Klaus Larsen is Deputy CEO of Digital Sundhed Denmark and a participant in the Data2Value Executive Dialogue, Copenhagen, May 18, 2026.
