Lemonmint will support the Medical University of Hannover (MHH) in Germany on a global research project focused on digital health adoption. This initiative, led by Prof. Dr. Volker E. Amelung and his team from the Institute of Epidemiology, Social Medicine, and Health Systems Research at MHH are dedicated to identifying the critical tipping points that have driven the successful adoption of digital health technologies in eight countries – including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia has been chosen as a primary case study due to its progress and leadership in the digital health sector and Lemonmint will leverage its insights and network to support the implementation of the research project in the Kingdom.
“Healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia stand out as lighthouses of digitization, including the region’s largest virtual hospital, the introduction of a digitized health insurance sector, as well as the implementation of health information exchange across the entire health sector,” remarked Armin Scheuer, CEO of Lemonmint. “It will be fascinating to identify the factors that have driven digital maturity in the Kingdom and to explore their impacts and achievements on healthcare transformation worldwide.”
The study will assess crucial elements such as institutional establishment, political strategies, reimbursement models, and health crises, all of which have served as catalysts for digital health advancements.
The findings will contribute to actionable recommendations for policymakers in Germany and will also be published internationally, serving as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and healthcare professionals.
Lemonmint brings significant experience to this project, having developed numerous initiatives in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East aimed at raising digital maturity in the healthcare, sharing best practices and supporting digital health communities.
