Elevating the next generation

Lemonmint and Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) cooperate to support the development of a skilled digital health workforce. DIT is recognised as one of Germany’s top universities of applied sciences.

Through this collaboration, we aim to raise awareness of our programs, foster global educational partnerships and strengthen our international network.

Prof. Dr. Georgi Chaltikyan, Head of DIT’s Master of Digital Health

By highlighting the potential of digital technologies to enhance workforce capacities and improve healthcare outcomes, Lemonmint and DIT aim to drive positive change and alleviate the strain on healthcare systems. Globally, the healthcare workforce is estimated to face a shortfall of 10 million workers by 2030, as reported by the World Health Organization.

In Germany, the shortage of skilled workers will reach 1.8 million open positions by 2035, corresponding to a shortage of 35 percent. Already today, the shortage is at seven percent of the German healthcare workforce. Raising awareness about the relevance of a digitally empowered workforce is crucial to addressing workforce shortages in healthcare.

As part of the collaboration, Lemonmint will participate in the DigiHealthDayS-2024 in Pfarrkirchen near Munich, Germany (11-15 November 2024). DigiHealthDay is a global forum for education, research, innovation, and networking. Registration is free.
