Following the Data2Value Executive Dialogue held at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen on May 18, participants and healthcare professionals are being invited to contribute to a new European research initiative examining the future of health system data infrastructure and population risk stratification.
The survey explores how healthcare systems organise care, build digital health data infrastructures, and implement population-based risk stratification tools across Europe.

The initiative is led by Jordi Piera-Jiménez, CEO of OpenEHR International, who participated in the Copenhagen Dialogue alongside senior healthcare and technology leaders from across Europe.
The study focuses on how healthcare systems organise and use data infrastructures to support population-based risk stratification tools – often referred to as case-mix tools. These tools are increasingly used to improve resource allocation, identify patient needs earlier, and support more proactive models of care.
A central question of the research is how healthcare systems can balance the growing sophistication of these tools with the realities of fragmented data environments, interoperability limitations, and varying levels of digital maturity.
The survey aims to collect comparable insights from representatives of different health systems regarding the organisation of care, the maturity of health data infrastructures, and the current adoption of population-based risk stratification approaches.
Participants interested in learning more about the study are encouraged to contact Jordi Piera-Jiménez through the Data2Value Initiative at data2value@lemonmint.org.
